Burial Options
While our cemetery is nearing capacity, there are still many lots available for burials. We can accomodate full-body burials as well as cremation burials. Cremations can be either with fire or water (alkaline hydrolysis).
Interments in a family plot will require a deed or other proof of ownership, e.g. a will.
The Bennington Centre Cemetery Association will sell grave lots to members of the Association or members of families who own pre-existing lots in the Bennington Centre Cemetery.
For non-members, a letter of request is required to be presented at the trustee's annual May meeting to be considered for elgibility.
Pricing
| Single grave lots (4' x 10'): | $1,500 |
| Cremation lot (3' x 3'): | $750 |
All lots require a one-time perpetual care fee of $1000. If multiple lots are sold to a family at one time, the perpetual care fee for the second lot will be $750, and $500 for each additional lot.
Monuments and Markers
All monuments, tombstones markers or other constructions that are proposed to be erected upon a lot must have the approval of the Bennington Centre Cemetery. New construction is expected to be in keeping with the historical aspects of our cemetery.
Services
All memorial services and funerals must be coordinated with the sexton or other cemetery representative in advance.
